2025 RENY NCZ Scholarship for seniors
graduating in June 2025
WHAT: Two $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded by the
North
Central Zone of the Retired Educators of New York (RENY) and
the Northern New York Community Foundation (NNYCF) for students residing in Jefferson and/or
Lewis Counties - These are a onetime award to help students
get started with their college education
WHO: Any high school senior pursuing a career in the teaching
profession is eligible
REQUIREMENTS:
You must be a 2024-2025 high school senior
You must be accepted into a college program starting in the
fall
of 2025
You must complete and submit an application form for the
scholarship
WHEN: Completed application form, essay, letter of recommendation,
high school transcript and appraisal form, and a portrait
picture of applicant must be submitted and received by
MARCH 15, 2025

Award
winners will be announced by the first week in May and
recipients will be invited to attend a luncheon meeting in
June to receive their awards.

RENY NCZ Annual
Scholarships for high school seniors ...

 Each
year, the North Central Zone offers two
$1000 scholarships to high school seniors
who are planning to go to college with the
intent of entering the field of education.
The 2024 winners will be presented with their
awards at ou r annual spring Scholarship
Luncheon to be held at the Hilton Garden Inn
on June
19, 2024.

School, he is the son of Christine and
Travis Purvis of Adams.
On the right is Olivia F. Adsit. A
student at Alexandria Central High School,
she is the daughter of Andrea and David

Hudson-Kramer Memorial Grant
for Educational Professionals
Every
two years, our Zone is given the opportunity
to award a grant for $1,000 that is provided
through RENY. Active teachers or administrators
are asked to apply to use for an innovative
project for their students. This grant
will help to fund a project or program that
could not otherwise be included within the school's
budget.
The recipient of the 2024 Hudson-Kramer
Grant Award For Educational Professionals is
Michael Commet from the South Lewis Central
